Biographical Brief

He received his M. Eng. and D. Eng. degrees in aeronautical engineering from the School of Engineering of the University of Tokyo in 1985 and 1993. After working as a researcher at the Institute of Computational Fluid Dynamics and at the Institute of Mathematical Science in Kao Corporation, he joined the faculty of Ibaraki University in 1996. He was also a contract researcher of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science from 1986 till 1988, and a joint research fellow of the National Institute of Polar Research (Inter-university Research Institute Corporation Research Organization of Information and Systems) from 1996 till 2009.
